Bad News Bears

Ok, so there was a change of plans on Saturday. Turns out if you wake up 2 hours past the time you were supposed to leave, that doesn't leave much of an option. That's right, I didn't go to the waterfall. Jaime went, but his group was bungie jumping, and we all know how I opted out of that. I let him borrow my camera though. Pictures will come when I want them to. I can do that, because this is my blog. It's like that song "It's my Party." Except, I don't want to cry. And I'm not having a party. And I don't want you to cry either. So it's not really like that song at all.....

Ok, now for a more serious topic. There has been some serious drama going on in this house lately. On Thursday, August 17th, at 3:00pm a very bad thing happened. Don Emelio's(the dad here) brother had some sort of heart failure. He has been in the hospital ever since. Even worse, he has been in a coma ever since as well. They performed open-heart surgery on him on Friday, but his condition hasn't changed at all. They figure it's only a matter of time before he leaves.
Marcela, the daughter, has been crying alot lately because of it. It's very hard to be around that, knowing that I can't do anything to help. I can't even comfort her because I don't know her; I don't know enough Spanish to help her.
Don Emelio is gone pretty much all of the time. He is at work before I get up at 8:00 on Tues/Thurs and he is out until well past Midnight, most nights. He spends alot of time in the hospital, as well as alot of time at work.

Well, I thought I would give you all the heads up. I'm out.
