It's been awhile

Well to all of your faithful readers out there, I am again asking for your forgiveness. I know that I haven't put a new post up in awhile, and I'm sorry.
I'll be honest, I haven't done anything for about a week. Ok, I take that back. Today I wrote 12 pages of spanish, made a family tree for the book I read, and made a bibliography for my essay. Some of you may not even know what what a bibliography is anymore, hehe. Tomorrow I have to go and turn it in and present on it. Shouldn't be too bad.
I've decided that after my final next Tuesday, I'm going to go travel around Mexico. I have 9 days that I can be out of Monterrey. I plan on going to Mexico City for sure - I have to see the biggest city on the face of the planet. For those that don't know, Mexico City has about 21 million people living it in. Thats about 9 times the size of the population of Kansas all in ONE city. Or about 53 times the size of Wichita or about 775 times the size of Newton. That really puts it in to perspective. I don't plan on being anywhere near Mexico City on December 1st though. Can anyone guess why?
If you said that the official changing of the presidents, then you would be correct. And why is that going to be a dangerous time in Mexico? Because in the elections over the summer, Felipe Calderon won by a margain of .006 or .6% of the vote. His opponent, Manuel Lopez Obrador, as of November 20, declared himself as president of a parrellel government. He has a cabinet and everything. This guy is insane. Anyway, back to the topic. It's predicted that Lopez Obrador will do something on Dec 1st, but no one knows what. Probably riots or something like that and for that reason, I don't want to be in DF(Distrito Federal, or Federal District, or Mexico City) at that time.
I also plan on going to San Miguel de Allende, because Paco has told me that it is the most "Mexican" city to visit. I haven't decided where else I will be going yet.
Yes, I will be sure to take pictures.
No, I will not be updating my blog during my trip.
Why? Because I won't be taking my laptop.
Why? Because it's heavy.

Fun Fact for the day: The original name for Los Ángeles is "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora La Reina de los Ángeles"

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We are having ours tomorrow. The reason for this is that all of the Gringo friends I have work and thus Thursday was not a good day for them. We are going to have a turkey and everything, so it's not like I'm completely missing out.
